Commonly Asked Questions

New Patient: How to prepare for an acupuncture visit:

  • Trinity Oak Acupuncture does not accept insurance, you may use HSA/FSA or pay by check, cash, or credit card.

  • Loose clothing will allow access to areas that may not require disrobing, so that sleeves can be rolled up above the elbows and pant legs can be pulled up above the knees. Should you need to disrobe, you will be in complete privacy and draped under a sheet.

  • Even a little snack can help your body have enough energy to maximize the treatment’s potential. Receiving acupuncture on an empty stomach may lead to lightheadedness, dizziness or even fainting.

  • Just like a massage, in acupuncture your body is flushing out toxins. Hydration helps to rid the body of these toxins that have been stirred up, so to speak.

What Labs Are Offered at Trinity Oak Acupuncture & Women’s Wellness?

  • You must become a patient of Trinity Oak Acupuncture to have specific labs recommended by the provider. Insurance does not cover labs.

  • The DUTCH Hormone Test (Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones) is an advanced lab test that measures hormone levels and their metabolites through urine samples. It provides a detailed look at adrenal, sex, and stress hormones, helping to assess hormonal imbalances, fertility, and overall health.

  • The GI-MAP Test (Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus) is a comprehensive stool test that analyzes gut health by detecting bacteria, viruses, parasites, and markers of digestion and inflammation. It helps identify imbalances that may contribute to digestive issues, immune dysfunction, and overall health concerns.
